Safeguarding Awareness Week this year is Monday 20th – Sunday 26th of May.
Created by Tes, this is the third, annual event specifically designed to show the importance of safeguarding in schools.
Everyone has a right to feel safe. Children spend so much of their time at school so it is important that all of the staff, alongside the designated safeguarding lead, understand the important of safeguarding and are fully equipped to deal with any student safeguarding issues.
Did you know that Athona Education offers a free, annual safeguarding course? Our level 2 course is available online for all of our candidates. To register for our CPD training and for more information about safeguarding click here to visit our eLearning zone.
What can you do to support Safeguarding Awareness Week? Tes have put together free resources that can be used in the classroom, designed to help children understand more about boundaries, safety and who they can go to for help. You can access downloads to use in the classroom here.
There is also a participation pack available including badges and banners you can display on websites and social media that you can access by clicking here.
Visit our eLearning zone to view all of the training we have available.
