Since 1994, World Teachers’ Day has been held annually on the 5th October and allows us to celebrate and thank all of the wonderful teachers and education professionals who transform education, and mould and inspire children across the globe on a daily basis.
“Engineers make bridges. Artists make paintings. Scientists make rockets. Teachers make them all.” – Unknown
This year, the theme has been set as ‘the transformation of education begins with teachers’ giving the opportunity to address the commitments and calls for action needed for the industry.
The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent need for online learning provided a real challenge for the education industry. But with teacher’s tenacity and ability to adapt to a new way teaching, new ideas and exciting teaching methods to suit distance learning was born – truly transforming the role from within.
At Athona Education, we believe all teachers and education professionals deserve the recognition for all of their continued hard work. We encourage everyone to celebrate teacher’s and thank them for the positive effect they have had on us all.
